Restored Domains is operated by Chesco Ventures, LLC, a Pennsylvania company founded and owned by Steve Wrightstone, a 30-plus-year veteran of the insurance industry.
Chesco Ventures was formed as an umbrella company to provide liability protection for Chesco Vending, an established vending services business, and to serve as the structure for any new ventures Steve takes on. Restored Domains is one of those ventures.
The idea behind Restored Domains is simple: every week, hundreds of thousands of domain names expire and go unused. Most aren't worth much to anyone. But some are genuinely useful — a strong match for a business name, an industry, or an idea someone's already building. We search through that haystack, acquire the ones worth saving, and offer them to the people and businesses they'd actually serve.
Beyond domain sales, we're also exploring ways to put some of these domains to active use ourselves rather than reselling them — building them out as small, focused projects. It's part of a broader goal: building new income streams as Steve plans his transition out of the insurance industry.
